Apple, Pear, Athletic, Rounded.
We all come in different shapes and sizes. Some of us have broader shoulders, while some of us have curvier hips. Everyone is uniquely different and that's why there is no "average" size or a one size fits all.

Everybody and every body is beautiful in your own special way, and knowing your body type helps you look your best and boost your confidence. Mix and match and play with your wardrobe to understand your body better.
Chances are, if you feel good, you'd definitely look good

Apple (Inverted Triangle)

Be the apple of everyone's eye when you play up your best features: full bust, amazing legs and/or arms
🍎
Silhouettes that don't rely on a traditionally structured waistline are your hardest working pieces. For more structure, choose substantial fabrics that will streamline your look from your bust through your hips.

You are an Apple shape if:

○ Generally well-proportioned
○ Shoulders are broader than hips
○ Waistline may not be well-defined
○ Body may not be as curvy through the hips

Tip #1 - Start At The Top

Your power pieces are: A-line Silhouettes / Flowy Tunics / Relaxed Shirts / V-neck Anything!

Strapless / sleeveless looks are a great go-to, or you can cover up with fitted sleeves to balance out your fuller bust and midsection. For curvier apples, plunging/shallow V-necks or scoop necks helps to elongate your torso while higher necklines work best in dark shades like black or navy.

Tip #2 - Say Yes To The Dress

You're in luck - strapless styles look lovely on you!
Maxi styles with a lower neckline are super flattering, as are wrap styles. Show off your legs with mini dresses. If not, sheath styles, A-line and knee-length shift dresses work wonderfully to balance out your proportions as well. When in doubt, opt for diagonal stripes and darker colours! They do wonders to slim and streamline your figure.

Tip #3 - Layers, Layers, Layers

As with every body shape, it makes all the difference where your jacket hem ends. Apple shapes look incredible in any outerwear that ends at the hips or upper thigh. A-line or straight, knee-length trench and coat styles will be superbly flattering, and ponchos were practically made just for you.

Pear (Triangle)

Pear shapes have the unique advantage of looking great in every pair of jeans and making dainty tops look daintier with their narrower shoulders. Play with proportions that elongate your body. Pear shapes look amazing in statement tops that draw the eye upwards and highlight the waist, back and neckline.

You are a Pear Shape if:

Shoulders are narrower compared to hips
○ Waist is wider than bust
 Hips are fuller
 Rear is fuller

Athletic (Rectangle)

Let us be the first to tell you - your figure is SO fun to dress! Your shape looks superb in almost everything.
You have the freedom to flaunt or conceal as much as you please and balance in your outfit is well within reach. The key to dressing an Athletic / Rectangle shape is to balance your broad upper half by accentuating your legs and other curves.

Rule of thumb: Keep the volume on top OR bottom, not both! If you go for an oversized blouse, keep the bottom skinny or structured. With more form-fitting tops, choose a breezier or more oversized skirt / pant style and vice versa.

You are an Athletic Shape if:

○ Not particularly curvy
○ Waist is not small nor well-defined, but rather straight
○ Width of shoulders and hips are nearly equal
○ Weight is evenly distributed throughout the body

Tip #1 - Start At The Top

Your power pieces are: Racerback / Strapless / Scoop or Round Necklines / Halter

Athletic / Rectangular figures look best when attention is drawn to their muscular arms, defined shoulders and waist. If you're a curvier Athletic, play up your shoulders, collar bones and/or your arms. Alternatively, you can choose narrower necklines like crew, cowl, or V-neck styles to elongate your neck, or if you'd rather downplay your shoulders.

To play up your bust, lean towards styles with statement collars or embellished necklines. Want to ace your look? Opt for high neck styles and open backs. Halters are your holy grail! Strapless / tank tops are great if you love your arms. Otherwise, you'll shine in 3/4 length sleeves too! As your shoulders are likely to be straight, you don't need to add on too much structure here.

To add curves to your waistline, choose tops that can be tucked in. Belted tops also create the illusion of a more slender waist.

Tip #2 - Say Yes To The Dress

You'd be a head-turner in most dress styles, so it really depends on which features you'd like to play up. Feeling leggy? Hitch up that hemline. Love your bust? Pick strapless/plunging necklines with a push-up bra and you're set!

Halter-style dresses look sublime on you.
You'll kill in skirts of all lengths/styles, but if you're rocking midi styles, don't forget your heels! 👠

Tip #3 - Layers, Layers, Layers

In colder weather, pea coats, dusters, bomber jackets and flowy outerwear will look stunning on you. If you're slender, go for fitted, structured styles. Want to create more shape at your waist? Look for cropped or elastic waist styles to accentuate your waistline. To minimize your waist, choose A-line cuts and hems that end at your hip or below the knee.

Tip #4 - Last, But Not Least

A-line styles will look superb on you, especially if they have belts to create waistline definition.
Dark coloured floor-length, straight / flared / bootcut pants work best as they lengthen the frame while mid-rise pants are your best friend! If worn, high-waisted styles should be belted to give an illusion of curves.

Rounded (Oval)

Get ready to flaunt your full figure and killer legs! Like your Rectangle sisters, your outfit strategy centers around trimming and defining your waist. Elongating dresses will be your greatest superheroes!

The key to dressing an Oval body is to trim your midsection and create a more defined waist. Choose clothes that add curves and fullness to your lower body and tops that taper to your waist! Draw attention to your shapely, graceful legs with shorter skirt lengths, but be mindful of how short as you might accentuate a top-heavy look. Read on to find out what features you want to flaunt (or hide) with this starter guide.

You are a Rounded shape if:

○ Tendency to gain weight in your stomach, back and upper body
○ Typically have a bust that is wider or same width as hips
○ Waist may be widest part of body frame
○ Shapely, slender legs
○ Full, shorter neck

Tip #1 - Start At The Top

Your power pieces are: Nipped or Belted Waists / Square, scoop or V necklines / Vertical Details / Peplums

Tip #2 - Say Yes To The Dress

Choose dresses that add interest to your shoulders and neckline, and more volume to your hips to draw the eye up and down, instead of side to side. Dresses that skim over your waist but nip right below your bust lift your chest and trim your midsection.

Patterns and textured fabrics with a dark base camouflage your figure perfectly! Keep your waist free from details that widen and highlight (ie. light colours, horizontal details) and avoid clingy fabrics like jersey.

Tip #3 - Last, But Not Least

Pants finishing 3/4 or 7/8 on the lower legs will trim your body, while mid-rise styles with wide elasticized bands will slim your stomach. Tiered, flared and fuller-flowing skirts / wide-leg pants also helps to fill out your hips.

Say YES to bottoms with loud details such as embellished, side or flap pockets, as they balance out your tummy and add shape to your lower half. On the other hand, straight skirts with flirty, flared hems will look especially amazing on you when paired with a top or jacket that highlights your hips!
